Summer is often a mixed bag for parents raising children with special needs or unique challenges. On one hand it can be nice to not have to be on the go, fighting the school etc. But on the otherhand it is hard to maintain a good level of structure, kids often struggle with the change and the parent is burned out! Hopefully a few of these resources can help you feel more in control of your summer and like you have a game plan. Remember - it is fine to have down time and let the kids plug in on occasion but it is important to find balance in activities, reading and fun out and about. Utah has a lot of camps and family programs that are accomodated to meet your families needs. Make sure to check out the summer resource list for ideas!
